About

Dr. April Simmons earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Towson University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Loyola University Maryland. During her academic journey, she enriched her learning by spending six months studying abroad at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. Her Audiology externship year was completed at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, where she gained extensive experience in comprehensive vestibular assessment, including Videonystagmography (VNG), Rotary Chair, and Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) testing. During this time, she also developed expertise in cochlear implant and bone-anchored hearing system evaluations, fittings, and follow-up care.

Having trained under exceptional clinicians throughout her education and clinical training, Dr. Simmons is both nationally certified and multi-state licensed. She has experience working with patients across the lifespan, including individuals with developmental, cognitive, sensory, and other complex healthcare needs, and is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that accommodates each person’s unique communication and support requirements.

Dr. Simmons’ mission centers on providing exceptional patient care, characterized by comprehensive audiometric assessments, personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs, and holistic counseling for hearing rehabilitation. She works with and offers hearing technology from all major hearing aid manufacturers, allowing her to recommend solutions based on each patient’s unique hearing needs, lifestyle, and communication goals.
